Confined Spaces - WC Acc.
Course Description - The course has been structured to meet the needs of personnel who may be required to work on, in or near a confined space. It is also a useful tool for supervisors and those manufacturers who are involved in the design of plant and equipment for their workplaces.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Course Objectives:
- Define confined spaces relevant to the participants` workplace environment and the underpinning legislation
- Define confined spaces hazard analysis and demonstrate atmospheric testing and monitoring procedures.
- Identify and demonstrate the procedure for isolating confined space hazards and the protection of personnel entering a confined space
- Define and demonstrate confined spaces risk assessment and response requirements
- Demonstrate the operation and wearing requirements for self contained breathing apparatus
- Describe and demonstrate the operation of first attack firefighting equipment, and identify safe working practices
- Demonstrate basic first-aid principles and cardio-pulminary resuscitation for confined space personnel
